Halloween 2012

Here is Conner. He was a ninja this year.

Here is Sawyer. He was a Vampire.

And here is John. He was a sick kid.

He was actually supposed to be a hooded guy that had eyes that would light up red. He was supposed to go and be in a neighbors haunted garage, but came home after school sick. So he wasn't able to trick or treat at all. Sawyer went out for about maybe 15 min and then came home and was sick. Fun times! Oh well. Hopefully Thanksgiving and Christmas will go a lot better. Fingers crossed.

First Day of Kindergarten 2012

Sawyer's first day of kindergarten. He has Mrs Glover. He got to ride the bus yesterday and loved it. He got up with the older boys at 6:30 took a shower, got dressed, and ate and then continued to ask me about every 10 min when he would be able to go get on the bus. I was actually ok. I think I got all of my crying out last week. He had a great day and was so excited to be able to go again today. The principal was on the bus from school to home to make sure that all of the kids were picked up by someone. I thought that was great.

Sawyer's first soccer game of 2012

Sawyer started soccer in the Eagle Mountain rec league on Saturday. He had a blast and scored all of their 7 goals. He was so proud of himself and so are we. He told one of my friends "I'm a natural". Oh that Sawyer. Where does he come up with this stuff?

School 2012-2013

So the 2 older boys started school officially yesterday. I was officially a wreck Sunday night after John gave the boys their blessings for the new school year. It's hard having your first go into middle school (7th grade) and your youngest going into kindergarten. Big changes for both of them (and for mom). Like John said it's a good thing but it doesn't mean it's any easier. I enjoy spending time with my kids over the summer, they have been a big help to me with me doing daycare. This summer went by way to fast. Anyway here are pics of Bubba and Conner (he has Mrs B Smith, 4th grade) on their first days. Sawyer starts next Tuesday so I will post pics of him next week.

Fun Weekend

We had a fun filled busy weekend. Saturday I was in a golf tournament that our stake puts on. It was fun and we were the only women in the tournament, and of course we had to buy cute outfits. Then the boys had the Thunderjam. They play football on the high school field against other A or B teams. John's team won his first game but lost his second. Conner only played one game but they won also. He even scored a touchdown. They both played really good. Then John was put into the dunk tank. One of the other coaches on John's team paid for all the kids that wanted to dunk John. There was a lot. Including Bubba, Conner, and Sawyer. It was a fun weekend.

Deja Vu?

Deja Vu: something overly or unpleasantly familiar.

I am having a case of deja vu. Luckily it was not us that got evacuated this time. This fire was a little more northwest of us. It was on the mountain on the other side of SR73 on the Camp Williams property, but then the winds shifted last night and started moving towards neighborhoods. Luckily the winds have stopped and for now the evacuation has been lifted. It was caused by lightning. Here are some pics I took from the middle school when we were at Conner's football practice.

Fire 2012

We had a fire REALLY close to our house this year. It was on the mountain just south of us. It started Thursday June 21st. It was climbing the mountain going away from us that night. Well the next morning the winds changed and starting blowing to the north. The next thing we know we are being evacuated. It was kinda hectic and scary. We stayed the night at John's parents house and luckily no houses were burned. We were able to go home Saturday. These pics were taken on our front porch just about a half hour before we were evacuated.

Rugby 2012

Rugby had been fun this year. Conner is now playing as well. He really enjoys it. John and Conner are both doing great and have both scored some trys.

Oklahoma Trip

John's parents took Bubba and Conner to Oklahoma to see Haeden (and Martie and Dave but mostly Haeden). They had a blast! They still talk about it and can't wait to go back.

Bubba's 12th bday

I have been putting this off mostly because I'm in denial. June 1st was his 12th birthday. He got roller blades and a big nerf gun that he has been wanting for a long time. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner because he loves boneless wings and they have a ton of different flavors there. Then went and saw Clash of the Titans which was a really good movie. John is such a good kid. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. He is such a big help to me and his brothers look up to him and always want to hang out with him. He received the priesthood on June 24th and on July 1st he went and collected Fast Offerings and then passed the Sacrament for the first time in church. He was so excited about doing both. We love you John!

John's 6th Grade Graduation

So John graduated 6th grade May 29th. I had a rough moment for a second but am good now. Here are some pics.
