Christmas

We had a great Christmas. Everyone got what they wanted and more. Here are a few pics. We stayed at John's parents house Christmas Eve. The kids got up really early it was about 4:45 when John and I finally went upstairs. The boys got an XBOX 360. John was funny when they first opened it. He just saw the games on the box and wasn't sure how they were going to play with them cause they didn't have an XBOX 360, not realizing that the console was also in the box. I got a picture of it. It's the one with his head in is hand. They got guitar hero, Sawyer got his own little guitar and I got some pics with him rocking out with the other two boys. It was funny. We then had breakfast and went to John's Grandma's house up in Bountiful. We sat and visited for awhile then went back to John's mom's house and had a big turkey lunch. We were all stuffed. We finally decided to pack up and go home while there was a break in the weather. (The night before I got stuck in our neighbors driveway for about an hour. Fun times. You gotta love this snow!)All in all we had a great day!

Snow!!

We got a ton of snow last week. I cannot believe how much we got. Here are just a couple of pictures of it. I shovled the driveway twice and then John did it again when he got home.

Family Christmas Party

We had our family Christmas party (for my side) this past Saturday. We had some great food, some great laughs, and some great presents. I got a new camera for Christmas so some of the pictures are random and out of focus. One especially of Jason and Sherion that is an extreme close up and totally blurring because I was laughing so hard. I had to get Jason back because I asked him to take a pic of John and I and it was an extreme close up of us.

So cute!

Gayla made blankets for all of the
grandkids. We had a hard time getting
Beau in the shot. The kids absolutely loved them!

Awww Sawyer...

I thought we were doing really good with Sawyer not touching the ornaments on the tree and then I came across this......

At least they are in a nice little pile under our tree and not all over our house.

Fun Saturday

We had a fun Saturday! We started out by going to our ward Christmas party. They did breakfast this year and it was good! They also had games and activities for the kids like making Christmas cards for the troops. The grown ups also had service projects they could do as well, and of course Santa was there. Conner did not want to sit or even stand by Santa:(

We then went home and John went to a church basketball game, and the boys went to a birthday party. So it was just me and Sawyer. All of the sudden I hear loud sirens outside. Here in Eagle Mountain they have started a tradition that Santa rides a firetruck around the neighborhoods throwing candy to the little kids. So I bundled Sawyer up and went outside to see Santa for the second time that day.

Later that night we finally decided to put up the tree. Sawyer was funny, he would place the ornaments on instead of hanging them on.

Best picture ever!

I love this pic. It is so cute.

Thanksgiving in Vegas

We spent Thanksgiving in Vegas this year and it was a blast!! The boys had a football tournament that they played in. They ended up playing 3 games. The first game was Friday night at 6. We played a California team that ended up beating us, but the boys played awesome and gave it their all. The next morning they played at 8 against a Texas team. They started out a little sluggish but the second half they didn't let them score at all. Which was very impressive. The third game they played at 3:30 against a local Vegas team and held their own pretty good. That Vegas team really under estimated us.
This was a totally different experience for the boys. Teams that come to this tournament live and breath football. They had teams from Alaska and Canada even show up. We all had a great experience and hope to be able to make this a yearly thing. Hopefully with a bigger team. They only had 14 players and had to play both defense and offense. Conner was given the nickname Little Blue Shoes by some of the refs and parents. He really doesn't like it because it has "little" in it and he is not little.

We had alot of fun on the strip. We walked from Circus Circus down to Coke and M&M world. It was about 6 miles there and back. We were all tired after that and the boys still had a game to play that night. So we went and got pizza and rested in our rooms.
